that?)

I remember, as a kid, that I used to hate
to watch the news because it was full of what I considered "boring stuff." They
were always talking about what was going on in the world, and I hated it.

As an adult, I grew to like the news. I
wanted to be informed of what was going on in the world and know about important
events. Unfortunately the news stations don't seem to care about what's
important anymore.

I have been trying to watch the news while
walking on the treadmill at the gym this week, and all I see and hear about is
the fight for Anna Nicole Smith's body and how much Britney Spears' hair should
sell for on E-bay. What is wrong with our nation that allows these two things
to become the top stories of the week? I knew the news was turning into a joke,
but this is beyond what I could have ever imagined. I shaved my head
this week, why is CNN not following me around?

Here's some real news that you may not
have heard about this week, because it's actually important: Several states
have passed, or are trying to pass, laws that make it mandatory for young girls
as young as 9-years-old to be vaccinated for HPV (Human Papillomavirus), an
STD.

This goes right along with what Planned
Parenthood and the abortion industry are trying to teach our youth: that they
are just animals, with no self-control, who will have sex no matter what. They
don't believe it is possible for young people to remain pure.

What kind of message are we sending the
young women of this nation? Maybe we should be using the stories of Anna Nicole
Smith and Britney Spears to teach them what not to look up to. Many high
schools put wrecked cars in front of their schools to show kids what happens
when you drink and drive. Maybe the same should be done with the stories of
these celebrities who live train wreck lives.

My oldest daughter is going to be
8-years-old in three months. I can't imagine, a year from now, that they would
want to start "prepping" her against STDs. Then again I don't allow my kids to
have role models like Britney Spears. I guess that makes me a mean dad. I must
also be insane to think that my daughters will remain pure until their wedding
day, like their mother did.

It all comes back to one thing: this world
needs Christ. But then, the news stations might get sued if they talked about
that. (Unfortunately, Christ never went to rehab, and he rose from the dead
before we got the chance to fight over his body....)

A weekend of prayer, fellowship,
education, encouragement and renewed commitment to standing true for the Gospel
of Christ and the sanctity of human life.

The photos are split into categories depicting the weekend. Each
category in its own way helps describe what the weekend was all about from
prayer, to the people and to all that we experienced this weekend, we truly did

The Stand True weekend was centered around prayer. Stand True has
always believe that Christ is the foundation of our work and prayer is
the most powerful tool we have in this battle.

Whether is was in front of Planned
Parenthood, the Supreme Court or any where else we were this weekend, we
focused on praying for God to bring an end to child killing in this
nation, and turn our generation's hearts to Christ.

The people are so important to what Stand True is doing. Stand
True is not just about it's leaders or staff, it is about the people who
take up the vision we have for turning a nation back to God.

Stand True is not just an organization,
it is a movement of people both young and old who want to draw their
lives closer to Christ and see their generations hearts turned to God.
We believe that through this God will bring an end to the holocaust that is
destroying God's heritage and ushering in a culture of death. These
people are willing to take up their cross and follow Christ, and help
 build a culture of life.

After 34 year it is a shame that we are still gathering in Washington
D.C. for the annual March for Life. However, until we see an end
to this holocaust we will continue to line up for hours in the middle of
winter to take a public stand for life.

Every year more and more people come and
march on Washington and every year the media seems to down play it even
more. We know that one day we will be in Washington not to march
in sorrow, but to march in victory as God brings an end to
 decriminalized child killing.

There are many ways we are able to help build this culture of life and
educate this generation. We were able to speak to many groups at
the different events going on over the weekend. We also had a
couple of booths at different conferences.

Stand True merchandise is not just cool
t-shirts and stickers. We believe in putting out original, thought
provoking, and educational products that will not only challenge the
people who see them, but challenge those who wear them. We want to
help open doors for conversations and give people an opportunity to
share their faith and the message of life.

Friday, January 05, 2007

New Modesty Honors Beauty T-shirt
We are excited to announce our newest t-shirts to the Stand True line, "Modesty Honors Beauty." Once again Brent Welborn has outdone himself with these amazing designs. - what is ultimately important.

Unless you live under a rock you probably know that today was election day. You have heard all the ads calling each other names, making their opponents look like absolute monsters.

In Virginia the import issue is the marriage amendment, in South Dakota it is the ban on abortion. There are many Senate and House seats up for grabs that will determine who is in charge of our nation.
While I just got back from voting and encourage everyone to cast their vote according to their conscience, I do have one important thing I want everyone to remember.

Whether the Republicans or Democrats come out on top of the Congress, God is still on the thrown and Christ is at His right hand. God is still Sovereign Lord and that is the most important thing to remember.

I am not saying that we should not care who is in office, I do care and hope that the people I voted for make it. I just will always keep in perspective that God is ultimately in control and He is wiser than any man. Christ is still the Savior that will not change no matter what laws are past or not past.

So after you vote tonight do something even more important, pray to the Awesome God who is ultimately in control and thank Him for the very breath you breath.

For Christ I stand,
Bryan Kemper
bryankemper@standtrue.com
Monday, October 30, 2006

He's a Boy!!!

I set up a website of photos here.
A few days ago, while I was driving
to the office, I looked up at the sign of a local gas station. I
noticed that gas was down to $2.35 a gallon. I was so excited that I
called home to tell my wife how low the price was, and she informed me
that there was another station with the price set at $2.31. Today I saw
the price was down to $2.23. I was amazed at how low that was and
wondered if I should wait to fill up the van, because the price might
go down even more.

Then I started to think about how insane it was that I was getting
excited about paying $2.23 a gallon for gas. I remember a few summers
ago when I was on tour and had to pay $1.75 a gallon. I was furious at
how high that was. I could not believe I was paying that much for gas.

It seems that the oil companies have succeeded in getting America
to believe that $2.23 a gallon is a great price for gas. They have had
the prices so high for so long that we have been conditioned to think
we are getting a great deal when it goes down a little bit.

I think that, in a way, you can say the same thing about abortion.
If you looked at some of the head lines about abortion from newspapers
seventy years ago, you would find a nation that abhorred the thought of
people killing their own children. Abortionists were made out to be
some of the worst monsters on the face of the earth. It was absolutely
unthinkable for someone to kill a pre-born child in their womb.

Today, it boggles my mind that abortion is so widely accepted. I
can't even fathom how people are not only so accepting of child
killing, but fight passionately to keep it decriminalized.

What I find even worse is the fact that those who do understand how
wrong it is seem to have been conditioned into accepting abortion as a
part of life, the status quo. It has been so long since that infamous
day in January of 1973, that we seem to not understand the gravity of
what is happening every day in this nation and across the planet.

We get excited about the little changes that might come about, the
occasional law that passes somewhere that might make it just a little
more difficult for someone to get an abortion. While some of these laws
are good--just like the gas prices coming down are good--it does not
change the fact that over 4,000 babies are being killed everyday.

We need to stop and really think about what is going on, what is
really happening behind the doors of Planned Parenthood and other
abortion clinics.

Their rhetoric has seeped into our everyday language. They have
made "women's choice" a household word that is accepted by so many
people. They have made the world believe that, because abortion is
inevitable, we might as well accept it and make it "safe and legal."
They have successfully turned the focus off of the innocent child that
dies, and they have put it on the woman and her rights and needs. They
have made us believe that abortion is about choice, instead of what it
is really about--the death of little baby boys and girls.

We are approaching 34 years of decriminalized abortion, and over
50,000,000 of our brothers and sisters have been lost to this heinous
epidemic. We must break the conditioning that has taken place for the
past three decades and resolve to bring an end to the systematic
slaughter of these precious little children.

Earlier this week the media was flooded with images, stories and
film footage of what happened five years ago on September 11, 2001. We
are determined not to let this country forget the devastation and loss
of life that occurred that day.

I want you to think about how you felt when you first saw the
videos of the planes crashing into the World Trade Center. Remember the
gut wrenching pain and sorrow you felt as you saw those towers collapse
and people running for their lives. Imagine the sadness you felt when
they started to say how many people died that day from these acts of
terrorism. Did you pray and cry? Did you sit there in total disbelief,
holding your loved ones? Did you feel anger and grief, wanting to do
something, anything, to help?

Now as you remember September,11 2001, I want to ask you how you
feel when I bring up the date, January 22, 1973. On that date there
were no plane crashes, or buildings collapsing. There were no
presidential speeches announcing the tragedy and loss of life caused by
the day's events. However, that date is a date that should never be
forgotten, a date that should ring a resounding bell in our hearts as
we realize whatit meant for our nation.

That was not just one day when thousands of people died a horrific
death. It was the start of a generation of which 1/3 of its brothers
and sisters would lose their lives every day. It was the beginning of a
holocaust so bloody and costly that we have lost over 50,000,000 lives
to acts of violence that take place over 4,000 times EVERY SINGLE DAY.

So, what is the difference between the lives we lost on 09/11/01
and the lives we lose everyday since 01/23/73? The only difference
between those people is their age. The children that die in their
mothers' wombs and the people that died in the World Trade Center are
all children of God, created by God, with a soul and a right to life.

Again I ask you about how you felt on September, 11? Why is it that
we don't feel the same way about January, 22? Another 4,000 human
persons will be killed today. Are we conditioned to accept it, like we
are conditioned to accept the rise and fall of gas prices? Or are we
willing to be a voice?

For Christ I stand
Bryan Kemper -bryankemper@standtrue.com
